Never did we consider having any other goal than getting back into the Top Twenty by hour 50 when we had a ten-hour stretch locked in 23rd. And for the first time in our history, we thought we'd been had by LDE. Even the House of Insanity had us for a while.
And then Hour 33 clicked like a mofo, and it was a balls-to-the-wall barrel to the finish. 12th place, baby. Raise a glass. If we were a drum & bugle corps, we'd have made finals. And, of course, our hats go off to Stephan's Dreamsicle for adding a new name to the urn. Even if their theme song drove us up the wall.
